A major city in the state of Karnataka in southern India is Mysore. It  is one of the cleanest cities in India, with the third-highest  population and third-largest area in the state. 


Mysore is referred to as the “City of Palaces,” the “Heritage City,”  and the “Cultural Capital of Karnataka” due to its heritage buildings  and palaces, including the well-known Mysore Palace. 


It is also referred to as “Pensioners’ Paradise” due to its spotless and tranquil atmosphere. 


At the base of the Chamundi Hills is where Mysore is located. Mysore is a  city in India that is situated 770 meters (2,530 feet) above mean sea  level.


It covers an area of 152.05 km2 (59 sq mi) and is located about 145 km  (90 point 1 mi) southwest of Bangalore, the state’s capital.
