Mathura

In the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Mathura is a holy city.  On the site of the Hindu temple Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi, the god Lord  Krishna is said to have been born.  

Shri Krishna Janmasthan 

is centered on the cell where Lord Krishna’s parents, Mata Devaki and Vasudeva, were held prisoner by his evil uncle Kansa. 

Vishram Ghat

The great Indian epics describe how after his battle with Kansa, Lord Krishna rested beneath Giriraj Ji’s awning.  

Prem Mandir

Hindu temple Prem Mandir is located in Vrindavan, Mathura, India. The fifth Jagadguru, Kripalu Maharaj, built the temple’s physical structure. 

Kans Qila

An ancient fortress in Mathura named Kans Qila is devoted to Kans, Lord  Krishna’s maternal uncle, and is situated on the banks of the tranquil  Yamuna River.  

Kusum Sarovar

One of Govardhan’s most popular tourist destinations is Kusum Sarovar, a  historical site and pond located about 2 km southwest of the well-known  Radha Kund.
